⚡ Quick answer
How do you replace a gaming chair seat?
Remove the backrest and armrests, flip the chair, unscrew the 4 bolts connecting the seat to the tilt mechanism, fit the new seat, and reassemble. Takes 15–20 minutes with a screwdriver. Our universal replacement seat fits approximately 95% of gaming chairs.

When should you replace the seat?

It is normal — especially on gaming chairs used daily — for the seat to wear out over time. The two most common issues are foam compression (the seat becomes rock-hard and flat) and a cracked or bent internal steel frame. Both make the chair uncomfortable and potentially unsafe. A replacement seat is almost always cheaper than a new chair.

Issue 01
Foam compression — the seat feels rock-hard
High-intensity daily use flattens the foam inside the seat completely. Sitting on a compressed seat puts direct pressure on the steel frame. Our replacement seat uses 36 kg/m³ high-density foam vs the standard 28 kg/m³ — significantly more durable.
Issue 02
Cracked or bent steel frame inside the seat
The steel frame inside the seat can crack or bend under heavy use. This can cause the seat to feel uneven or unstable. A cracked frame is a safety issue and should be replaced promptly. While you have the seat off, it is also worth checking whether the tilt mechanism needs replacing too.

Step-by-step replacement guide

Step 01
Remove the backrest
Locate and remove the screws on the sides connecting the backrest to the seat. Lift the backrest off and set it aside.
Step 02
Remove the armrests
Unscrew the armrests from the seat frame. They are usually held with 2–4 bolts underneath each armrest.
Step 03
Detach the seat from the tilt mechanism
Flip the chair and locate the 4 bolts connecting the seat to the tilt mechanism. Remove them and lift the seat off.
Step 04
Align the new seat and secure
Place the new seat over the mechanism and align all screw holes. Insert and tighten all 4 bolts evenly. Do not overtighten.
Step 05
Reattach armrests, backrest and test
Reattach the armrests and backrest in reverse order. Flip the chair upright and sit down to test stability and comfort.
