🔧Repairing your chair

The most common questions about whether to repair, what it costs, and why it is better than buying new.

Why should I repair my gaming chair instead of replacing it?+
Repairing is significantly cheaper than buying new. A new gaming chair costs €200–500, while a replacement gas lift costs €19–30 and a new seat costs €80. In most cases only one or two components are worn while the rest of the chair remains fully functional. Repairing also reduces CO₂ emissions — manufacturing a new chair produces approximately 60–80 kg of CO₂ — and keeps usable materials out of landfill.
How do I fix a sinking gaming chair?+
A sinking gaming chair is almost always caused by a worn-out gas lift cylinder that has lost internal pressure. The solution is to replace the gas lift — it takes 20–30 minutes, costs €19–30, and requires no special tools. See our step-by-step gas lift replacement guide for full instructions with photos.
How long does a gaming chair gas lift last?+
Standard quality gas lifts last approximately 1–3 years under regular use. Gaming chairs wear gas lifts faster than office chairs due to more dynamic loading — fast sitting and standing can create peak forces significantly above body weight. Our BIFMA-certified Heavy Duty Class 4 gas lifts are designed for extended lifespan under intensive use.
Can I repair a gaming chair myself without technical experience?+
Yes. Most gaming chair repairs — gas lift replacement, seat replacement, mechanism replacement, wheel replacement — require only a screwdriver or Allen key and take 15–30 minutes. Every spare part we sell comes with access to a step-by-step video guide covering the entire process. No prior technical experience is needed.

📦Parts & compatibility

Questions about which parts we sell, whether they fit your chair, and how they compare to original components.

What gaming chair spare parts do you sell?+
We sell gas lifts (Class 3, Class 4, Heavy Duty Class 4), armrests (2D, 3D, 4D, 5D), tilt mechanisms (Butterfly, Frog, Multifunction), universal seats and backrests, chair wheels and casters, chair bases (steel and nylon), premium pillow sets and PU leather repair kits. All parts are compatible with approximately 95% of gaming chairs on the market.
Are your spare parts compatible with my gaming chair?+
Our universal seats and backrests are designed to fit approximately 95% of gaming chairs using standard mounting hole patterns. Gas lifts use standard Class 3 and Class 4 sizing that is compatible with most gaming and office chairs. Armrests and mechanisms also use common mounting patterns. Full compatibility details are listed on each product page. If you are unsure, contact us with your chair brand and model and we will confirm.
Are your replacement parts original OEM parts?+
Our parts are not always identical to original OEM components — in most cases they are improved versions. Our replacement seats use 36 kg/m³ high-density foam, while standard gaming chairs typically use 28 kg/m³. Our steel frames are reinforced for greater durability. Our gas lifts are BIFMA-certified, while many original gas lifts are not. In many cases, our spare parts outlast the original components that came with the chair.
Are your gas lifts BIFMA-certified?+
Yes. Our gas lifts are BIFMA-certified and tested under pressure loads of up to approximately 14,000 Newtons. BIFMA (Business and Institutional Furniture Manufacturers Association) certification means the gas lift has been independently tested to withstand the peak dynamic loads typical in office and gaming chair use. Many cheaper replacement gas lifts carry no certification and fail significantly sooner.
What if the spare part I need is not listed on the site?+
Contact us anyway. We have established relationships with many component manufacturers and may be able to source the specific part you need. Send us a photo of the broken component and your chair brand and model, and we will get back to you within 24 hours.

🛠️Installation

How hard is it to install? What tools do you need? How long does it take?

Do I need technical skills to install gaming chair spare parts?+
No. All spare parts come with access to step-by-step video guides, making installation straightforward even for users with no technical experience. Most repairs take under 30 minutes. A standard screwdriver or Allen key is sufficient for most replacements — gas lift replacement requires no tools at all.
How long does it take to replace a gaming chair gas lift?+
Replacing a gaming or office chair gas lift typically takes 20–30 minutes and requires no tools. The process involves tipping the chair, removing the seat from the gas lift, pulling out the old cylinder, inserting the new one, and reattaching the seat. See our step-by-step guide with photos for the full process.
How long does it take to replace a gaming chair seat?+
Replacing a gaming chair seat takes approximately 15–20 minutes with a screwdriver or Allen key. The process involves removing the backrest and armrests, detaching the old seat from the tilt mechanism, and fitting the new seat. See our seat replacement guide for step-by-step instructions.
How do I know which gas lift class I need?+
The class (3 or 4) is usually stamped on the side of your existing gas lift cylinder. Class 4 is the most common for gaming chairs. If you cannot find it, measure the dimensions of your current cylinder — see our gas lift measuring guide. If in doubt, Class 4 fits the large majority of gaming and office chairs on the market.

🛡️Warranty

What is covered, for how long, and what happens if something goes wrong.

What warranty do you offer on gaming chair spare parts?+
We offer a 3-year warranty on our universal gaming chair seats and backrests. Gas lifts and tilt mechanisms carry a 1-year warranty. If a part fails within the warranty period due to a manufacturing defect, we will replace it free of charge. Our BIFMA-certified gas lifts are additionally tested to 14,000 Newtons of pressure before shipping.
Are your replacement parts original OEM parts covered under the original chair warranty?+
Our parts are sold as aftermarket replacement components and come with their own warranty as described above. They are not covered under the original chair manufacturer's warranty. If your original chair is still under warranty, we recommend checking with the manufacturer first before replacing any parts.
